PACIFIER

I made this for my niece and her husband, that just had a baby.

I used Maple, Walnut, and Apple wood for this.

To make the ring on the pacifier, I used two hole saws to drill out the shape, drilling partially into the block.

Then I cut off that drilled out section on the bandsaw.

Now to do some shaping of the ring.

The get the ring in the hole of the pacifier, I just put the ring in a bench vise, and snapped it in two. This is the best way to get a joint that won't be noticeable after you glue it back up.
