Boomerang

There’s nothing like making a wooden toy to lift my spirits.  I made this boomerang for my grandson, Kobe, for his 13th birthday.  This boomerang is made with 2 straight pieces, half lapped together.  You need to be very precise cutting the half lap, since the boomerang is only 5/16 inches thick and you want the joint to be very strong.  Using wood with a nice looking grain really enhances the appearance. There are plenty of instructional websites to guide you on shaping the pitch of the blades. This boomerang worked amazing at returning right back to me.
