BOX WITH SLIDING LID

Since I make numerous “Beads of Courage” boxes, I’m always striving to find different ways of making small boxes. It’s always good to try different methods to tune different skills.

For this one I chose to use corner posts, attached with splines.

To make it easier to fit the bottom board of the box, I trimmed out the inside corner of the corner posts, with a 1/16” router bit.
I used some purpleheart to dress up the lid.
I cut grooves in the inside for a sliding lid.
