There a lots of sites showing the process of making a bandsaw box. I'm not going to go into a lot of detail. Just going to show the basic steps that I used to make this one.

The first step is to slice off the back of the log.
Next, cut out the shapes of the drawers.

I glued up the entry points where the bandsaw blade cut vertically into the log.

I didn't get a picture of the next step, which is slicing the front and the back off of the drawers. Next cut out the cavity of the inside of the drawers.

This is what you end up with at this point.
Now glue the front and back onto the center section.

I lined the insides of the drawers with flocking. This makes it look a lot nicer, plus then you don't have to sand the insides of the drawers.

Since I didn't put knobs on the front of the drawers, I drilled holes on the back side, for pushing the drawers open.

The bark on this "Apricot" log, had a lot of green growth on it. I didn't think it would be very attractive for a jewelry box, so I spray painted it gray. Then gave it a light shot of black metallic spray paint, to give it a little sparkle.
