DOWNDRAFT TABLE

I made this simple version of a downdraft table with ¼” pegboard. I can hook it up to my 4” hose on my dust collection system.

Because of the large 4” connection point, I thought it would be necessary to offset the bottom a little to accommodate the air movement.

I glued 1” thick strips in between the top and bottom in order to make it a solid surface to work on. I used cedar for all the framework and spacers, in order to keep the weight down. Since I plan to just set it on top of a workbench when I need it, I didn’t want the weight to be a nuisance when moving it around.
