We had some artwork from our grandson that we couldn’t part with. So I had a plan to display it in a unique way.

I made a pattern of the shape of the artwork, and traced in onto a pair of 2 x 6’s.

Then I cut out the shape with the bandsaw.

Here I glued the two halves together. And then I cleaned up the shape with the oscillating drum sander.

I added some more depth on the back, to make clearance for the glass and picture.

Now it is a permanent display for us to always remember.
