I had a request to make a picture frame in memory of someone, while incorporating a personalized leather belt in the frame.

I glued three sections of rough cedar together, and used an 1 ½” router bit, to make an 8” by 10” recessed rectangle for the picture to sit in.
I also used a ¼” router bit to recess a section of the belt.
Then cut out the heart shape, and round off the edges with an 1/8” roundover bit.

This was a simple project for me, but things don’t have to be complicated to make an impact on someone.
